what with going away on holiday next week and being generally skint, I’ve decided I can live with the broken DVD drive in the powerbook for the moment.
I’ll get it fixed after I get back, at which point I’ll also have been paid.
very angry about something that it would be inappropriate to speak about in a public forum.
but I went running tonight when I got home, which I haven’t done for about a month now (possibly longer if I’m honest). So, although I’ll pay for it tomorrow, I feel satisfied that I’ve done something “constructive”. My main concern now is to get into shape for my holiday. Nothing like leaving until the last minute – we leave next Friday, so that’s 9 days or so. Vanity, thy name is ed.
I foresee various crises between now and then, though (see first paragraph).

It was a much sunnier day today than yesterday, so I went back to the beach at Holme Next the Sea for another go at sunbathing.
Although I used sunblock, I obviously didn’t use enough, or didn’t use a strong enough factor, and I’m now pink all over and burnt in parts. I’ve got particularly bad areas behind my knees which makes standing up and sitting down painful. It’s also making me feel a bit sickly in general, but I hope that goes before tomorrow as I’m meeting up with an old school friend from New Malden and visiting my parents.
Apparently, in our part of the country, the weather should get wetter and cooler from tomorrow.
